How to use convertkit

In this blog post, I am going to teach you how to use Convertkit

But before I teach you how to use Convertkit i am going to explain exactly what it is

What is Convertkit?

Convertkit is an email marketing service

And if you are planning on having an email list you need an email marketing service

A lot of bloggers will say that their biggest mistake when they first started blogging was not having an email list (including me)

So don’t make the same mistake and start your email list right now!

I personally have tried a couple of email marketing services in my life

And i can say without a doubt that Convertkit is the best email marketing service out there

It at least suits me perfectly and it pretty sure it will be a good service for you as well

Because if you are a new blogger

And you think that email marketing is kind of overwhelming which it kind of is let’s be honest

And you are not really a big tech geek

And you are not exactly excited to learn a new complex email marketing software

Then Convertkit is perfect for you

Because their goal is to create a super simple email marketing service

So that you can spend most of your time doing what you enjoy

Creating blog posts,youtube videos,tiktok videos, etc.

And it is not only a simple email marketing service

It is also just a great email marketing service overall

But it is pretty expensive once you start getting a lot of people on your email list

But i don’t see myself changing services any time soon

How to create a sign up form in convertkit

Okay now once you have finished creating your Convertkit account

It is time to create something to get people on your email list

Now why not start with something really simple like a basic sign up form

You have probably seen a sign up form before

It is basically somewhere where you can enter your email address if you want to be updated or want a 10% discount etc.

Once you enter your email address on something like that

You are on their email list and they can market to you

Of course, you can always block/remove them if they just end up being annoying spammers

Now i am going to show you how to create your own sign up form

Make sure that you are logged in your Converkit account

And then click on the grow button which you can find on the top of your screen

And then click on landing pages and forms

And then you want to click on the create new button

Which you can find in the bottom right corner of your screen

And then we are going to click on form

And then we are going to select the inline option

And then we will get some good looking high-quality template option for our sign up form

I am just going to select a basic one

Because I am basically just going to show you how to create a simple but effective sign up form

You can select whatever you like it does not really matter

And now we are at the final steps of this tutorial

Here we can edit our newsletter to make it say whatever we want it to say

And we can also change colors, text size etc.

It is actually really simple to edit your newsletter in Convertkit

Which is one of the reasons why i am recommending this email marketing service

Just extremely simple to use overall

Believe me, i have tried almost every email marketing service out there and they are not all that simple

You can basically just click on what you want to edit

You can click on the text and then start typing

And you can also click on the button if you want to change the color

I am actually not going to change anything because i am just creating this for the tutorial

But I am going to show you how to publish this sign up form on your website

Press the save button

And then press the publish button

And then select the WordPress option

And copy the code

How to install convertkit in wordpress

Now we need to install the Convertkit wordpress plugin

Because that is the easiest way to publish your newsletter or anything else from Converkit

First step

Make sure that you are logged into your WordPress account

And that you are in the WordPress admin dashboard

And then click on plugins and click on add new

And then just type Convertkit in the search box

And when you find it

Just click on install and then activate

Okay now we can publish our sign up form

You just pretty much paste the code that we copied earlier wherever you want

I am just going to put my newsletter at the end of my blog post

But you can put it on your homepage or whatever

And now i have a sign up form at the end of my blog post

Kind of insane how easy it is to use Convertkit
